The popularity of cycling is at an all-time high right now. Aided by lockdown and given a considerable bump by the excitement of the Tokyo Olympics, the sport has become one of the focal points of athletics and, perhaps surprisingly, style. With a range of labels raising the bar for stylish cycling gear, and even labels like Off-White™ and Palace getting in on the action, the time’s never been better for someone to assert authority on the scene and 7 Days Active x Argon 18 might just do that.

The collaborative collection traces the line between the philosophy of movement and the technical world of cycling. Starring two icons of the sport — Tokyo silver medallist Rasmus Lund and 1984 Olympic champion Nelson Vails — the lookbook perfectly distils the two sides to the collection. On one side, Vails tours his hometown of New York while on the other, Lund hits the mountain road.

7 Days Active x Argon 18 is purpose-built for speed and aerodynamics using ergonomic designs, unobtrusive paneling, and premium materials. It doesn’t skimp on style, either. The bold color palettes wouldn’t look out of place in the midst of a competitive peloton but also fit naturally in the everyday city environment.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Nitrogen Disc Frame which offers a solid ride without sacrificing the lively response of a top-of-the-range sprinter. The classic road-racer feel provides all the advantages of aero-engineering which makes it perfect for the long ride as well as the explosive sprint.

You can shop the collection from August 27 at 7 Days Active and Argon 18.
