Such is the archaic dress-code at Wimbledon, the majority of impressive ‘fits are usually served off the court, rather than on it.

This was most certainly the case on July 12 during the men’s quarter-final between Daniil Medvedev and Chris Eubanks, where female tennis starlet Coco Gauff garnered a fair bit of camera time as she cheered on the latter.

Gauff, who was knocked-out on day one of this year’s Wimbledon tournament, was in the stands wearing an incognito New Balance ensemble, as Eubanks was defeated by Medvedev in a five-set thriller.

And didn’t the camera operator know it (?!), spanning to a mostly jubilant Gauff between every point and any other given occasion wherever Eubanks was in the ascendency.

At an event renowned for its often all-white dress code, 19 year old Gauff stood-out on the sidelines with an outfit quite the opposite on quarter-final day: an all-black New Balance get-up, bucket hat, and bling aplenty.

Of course, long-time admirers of Gauff will be well aware that her stealthy-but-cool look isn’t a one-off. In fact, she’s one of the best dressed tennis stars off the court, with her extensive collection of NB silhouettes always on display.

Being sponsored by New Balance certainly feeds Gauff’s weighty sneaker collection, one that already features a slew of 550s, Vision Racers, and 990v1s.

While on-court Gauff left a lot to be desired this year (not least after her semi-final finish in 2022), her ever-impressive sense of style continued to, unsurprisingly, deliver aces. Sure, it's literally just an all-black outfit, but styling it right still takes an eye for detail, something Gauff has in droves.
