The Norwegian label beloved by professionals operating in the harshest climates around the world has released their new Stockholm boot for winter. Helly Hansen's Stockholm boot blends rugged outerwear necessities with wintery protection and a smattering of urban styling. Its low vamp is offset by a high padded collar, with the upper constructed from waterproof silky nubuck, accented with water-repellent mesh and featuring a leather heel counter. So while the silhouette seems similar to a sneakerboot, the Stockholm sits firmly in the weather-ready sector of heavy-duty outerwear.

Putting 138 years of rugged outerwear construction know-how into the boot's design, Helly Hansen built the Stockholm to withstand both the icy, wet pavements of the urban jungle as well as the harsh wintery climates you experience in the depths of nature. The boot's outer features the brand's trademark Helly Grip rubber outsole, while Hansen has fully seam-sealed it on construction so no slush, rain or snow seeps in. Meanwhile, its inner sports an EVA midsole for comfortable, durable protection, while its downy lining keeps feet warm and insulated. Perfect for whether you're trekking through Helly Hansen's native Oslo, or your own harsh urban landscape this winter.

Win your own pair of Stockholm boots as part of Helly Hansen's "Discover the Nature of Your City" project. Just head over to Helly Hansen for all the details.

The Stockholm is available at John Lewis and, of course, via their site. Connect with Helly Hansen on Instagram.
