In an effort to reach more than one billion potential viewers, Netflix launched its first original series from India just days ago, and the early reviews are calling it a hit. Sacred Games, an adaptation of a best-selling novel by Vikram Chandra, currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The crime-thriller centers around Sartaj Singh (played by Saif Ali Khan), a cynical Bombay police officer who is out to capture criminal overlord Ganesh Gaitonde (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui). You can currently view the inaugural eight-episode season of Sacred Games on Netflix.

Again, Netflix has released its first-ever original series from India in hopes of tapping into one of the streaming service's largest potential markets. Netflix India launched back in 2016, but it has yet to gain the traction other territories have experienced.

Next, watch the season six trailer for ‘Orange Is the New Black.’
