Zenith and Land Rover announced a partnership and watch collaboration this month with special events in Paris and New York City celebrating many significant years of craft from the luxury watchmaker and British car manufacturer.

The special edition El Primero Range Rover Chronograph features a streamlined, subtly curved design. “Zenith Range Rover” is inscribed on the brushed gray dial and the hands and hour-markers are rhodium and luminescent. The high-frequency mechanism is clothed in a 42 mm-diameter matt black ceramised aluminum case—a nod to the Range Rover chassis. Water-resistant to 100 meters and topped by a cambered sapphire crystal, it’s equipped with a ratcheted crown and black round pushers. The sapphire case back bearing the “El Primero Range Rover / Special Edition” engraving reveals an oscillating weight personalized with the Zenith and Range Rover logos.

Zenith and Land Rover share trailblazing spirits, united by a passion for discovery and adventure. The timepiece combines the new Range Rover’s luxurious and reliable performance, with the world renowned El Primero movement. The El Primero Range Rover Special Edition watch originally debuted during the Paris Motor Show, where Land Rover also revealed the Range Rover SVAutobiography DYNAMIC. In NYC, a second unveiling took place alongside a live art performance by world-renowned artist Carlito Dalceggio.

Both the Paris Motor Show and in NYC event treated guests to art installations. In Paris, Richard Orlinski unveiled a unique work of art blending Zenith and Land Rover universes in his distinctive style. On the other side of the Atlantic, Carlito Delceggio graced guests with a live art performance in the bohemian artist’s typical style, blending historical references with travel inspired graphics. A partnership with a purpose. The artworks are the beginning of a global collection by various international artists to be sold at auction in 2017; profits will be donated to charity.
