It's hard to forget the first time Salehe Bembury teased the Crocs Juniper sneaker. A mere glimpse of the sneaker was enough to ignite a frenzy among fans, who were thrilled at the prospect of a new model from the acclaimed designer.

With each subsequent tease (plus the introduction of new colorways), the anticipation for his laced Crocs shoe only grew. Now, Bembury has answered prayers with the announcement of the sneaker's much-awaited release date.

Indeed, the time has come to finally cop Crocs' first genuine sneaker (or at least, try to cop). On his Instagram, Bembury revealed the Crocs Juniper sneaker plastered on a billboard beside the words, "The outdoors is yours."

As you can probably tell, the Crocs Juniper sneaker echoes Bembury's love for nature, which has also manifested in other collaborations like his Moncler partnership and water-inspired runners.

Before the official release, the designer himself took the Crocs Juniper sneaker for a test hike or two. With its distinctive design elements, Crocs' first-ever fashion sneaker looks as though it could quite easily handle the outdoors. The reimagined Crocs ventilation holes and meshy details ensure that the shoe is at least marginally breathable, while the goo-like sole detail looks to offer excellent grip and, presumably, plenty of that quintessential Crocs comfort.

But who am I kidding? Bembury x Crocs fanatics probably have this sneaker's nice details embedded in their brains at this point.

Between dishing out Futura slide sandal collabs and flaming-hot New Balance sneakers, Bembury has kept us well-fed with tastes of the Crocs Juniper sneaker since September 2023.

We've been grateful for Bembury's consistent previews (and even Crocs' chunky solo efforts). But knowing the wait is nearly over for the Crocs Juniper sneaker is nice. According to Bembury's post, the pairs will launch on May 30.

There are no further details regarding the where and when (time), but I suspect more will be revealed as we get closer to the launch date.
