The Converse x Barriers Court Ready Shorts are designed to highlight Black history, drawing inspiration from a 19th-century anti-slavery newspaper called The North Star founded by Frederick Douglass. Produced in a lightweight nylon fabric, the stealthy black bottoms are decorated with Barriers stars printed on the front, in addition to an embroidered Converse star chevron logo. The back is embellished with the NYC brand’s “Live Free Barriers” logo, which is screen printed on the left pocket. The design is made complete with a striped drawstring at the elastic waist, adding a splash of color to the pair.
