Martin Margiela may not have invented the Tabi, but he certainly perfected the intriguing design over the years, implementing the polarizing split-toe on various footwear silhouettes. Here, we find the cleft-toe shape applied to a pair of ankle boots as a part of Maison Margiela’s SS22 collection. Crafted from 100% leather, the boot arrives in a classic black colorway with the house’s iconic stitch mark applied to the heel. Hook-and-eye closure on the medial side of each shoe allows for easy on and off, as the silhouette is made complete with a cylindrical low heel.
