Martin Margiela may not have invented the Tabi, but he certainly perfected the intriguing design over the years, implementing the polarizing split-toe on various footwear silhouettes. Here, we find the cleft-toe shape applied to a pair of slip ons as a part of Maison Margiela’s SS22 collection. Arriving in a classic all-black colorway, the shoe is executed in 100% leather, featuring a flat heel and minimal branding in the form of the house’s iconic stitch mark at the heel. Contrasting embossing is applied to the footbed to complete the design, which accounts for one of the more comfortable tabis around.
