Acne Studios Dives Into Nature For FW22
There’s something quite endearing about Acne Studios’ take on minimalism. Under the guise of its founder and creative director Jonny Johansson, the Stockholm-based fashion house has delivered eccentric and well-thought-out products since its 1996 inception, but in a fairly stripped back kind of way.
Its second Fall/Winter 2022 collection is a testament to that, as it heads to La Maison Sculptée to spotlight its latest offering of luxury leather jackets, patchwork styles, and outerwear.
Typically Acne Studios’ relatively reserved-looking garments are presented atop a campaign that's anything but.
Captured by famed photographer Harley Weir – who has shot for the likes of Balenciaga, Céline, Stella McCartney, and Jacquemus – it's a pretty pleasing blend of naturalistic minimalism, mixed with, well, kinda #Goblincore.
The setting of the said campaign, La Maison Sculptée, is located in Rennes, France, and was first opened by Jacques Lucas in 1968. Now a unique ensemble of paintings and sculptures that are intertwined by trees and moss, the space is considered a true outdoors gem, and has been continually added to since it opened.
Alongside the pieces mentioned above, the collection also features accessories like the cross-body bags and scarves, as well as a footwear collaboration in tandem with historic Swedish brand Kero.
Available via the Acne Studios website now, this second collection follows the first seasonal “Face” drop, which was soon followed by the launch of its new Musubi Bag campaign by Talia Chetrit.
