adidas Adds New Apparel to Its Iconic adicolor Range
While the Superstar and Stan Smith might be icons of the Three Stripes' sneaker history known and loved the world over, when it comes to its apparel archive, it doesn't get more iconic than adidas adicolor. Emerging in 1983 via an all-white sneaker accompanied by a set of colored marker pens for user customization, adicolor was and is about expression — of both the wearer and adidas as a brand.
adidas adicolor made a belated return in 2006 with the "Color Series," which saw adidas collaborate with some of the world's hottest boutique stores, labels, and artists, including Colette and Wood Wood, on a concept centered on individual, standout colors. New drops from the subsidiary line have become more frequent since then, with 2018 and 2019 collections offering up matcheable sportswear items in bold colors, designed to be worn as one-tone looks.
And now, we're treated to more adidas adicolor arrivals, with new clothing to accessories up for grabs. adicolor has often been used by the brand to celebrate the famous Trefoil logo that was born in 1971, and we get plenty of it in the latest drop. Highlights include the simple but sweet logo baseball cap and hoodie, as well as weather-appropriate additions like this reversible jacket.
