June 8 is World Oceans Day, with hundreds of events and initiatives taking place around the globe in a bid to raise awareness about marine plastic pollution. To mark the occasion, adidas and Parley for the Oceans continue their mission to help preserve the seas through the Run for the Oceans project.

As part of Run for the Oceans — a global movement that uses sport as a platform to raise awareness about the threat of plastic pollution — adidas and Parley are calling on the public to literally run for the oceans.

To enter, download the Runtastic app, available for both iOS and Android smartphones, and join the worldwide challenge on June 8. The app will automatically track your progress, with adidas turning your hard effort and sweat into cash. The Three Stripes will donate $1 per kilometer to the Parley Ocean School, with a maximum goal of $1.5 million. The challenge comes to a close on June 16.

For those planning to join the challenge, below we've curated some of our favorite adidas x Parley running gear to shop ahead of World Oceans Day. Made from recycled ocean plastic, our picks include everything from running tops and shorts to uber-comfortable Ultraboost sneakers.

If you’re ready to stop talking about pollution and really take action, shop some fresh running gear below and click the button to join the challenge.
