'Tis the Season to Cop Adsum
There aren’t many brands perfecting the essentials quite like Adsum is right now.
From ideal layering pieces, to lightweight high-summer styles, the menswear label is hitting the nail on the head with each and every release — and that’s before even mentioning its collaborations.
For Winter 2022 it’s business as usual for the New York-based outfit, who this season focus on the clothing they'd like to layer with and keep on when they head inside, as well as styles made to feel both cozy and comfortable.
The collection — which lands online on November 18, 11am (EST) — features zip-front cardigans, merino sweaters, and cashmere waffle cardigans, as well as Oxford shirts and the label’s popular cable knit beanies, of course.
The standout piece from the collection is the Lowland Vest (arriving in two styles): an overstuffed down-style gilet and a kind of evolution of Adsum’s original Alpine Vest.
A thick down-filled band collar keeps all chills out when fully fastened, and zipper closure hand pockets add two more securable storage points for when the going really gets tough.
Alongside its mainline collections, 2022 has been a year of great collaborations for Adsum too.
Teaming up with the likes of Vans, Merrell, and watch aficionados Timex, the label has certainly put itself on the radars of those further afield.
Alas, they aren’t finished yet!
“We’ve got a Nanga collab releasing early December that builds on our first collaboration with them,” Pete Macnee, Adsum founder and creative director, exclusively tells Highsnobiety.
“This time we’ve created two outerwear styles: a big jacket and a reversible down-filled shirt. We’re all looking forward to wearing both pieces as the temps drop. It’s all made in Japan in very small quantities,” he adds.
Rounding things out, Macnee wasn’t shy of sharing his outlines for next year either: “Early 2023 will see some really exciting footwear collaborations with new partners – two of our all time favorites!” Watch this space, I suppose.
