Reese's Puffs Get Dressed in AMBUSH
Peanut butter and chocolate have found a third in AMBUSH. The luxury label, helmed by Yoon Ahn, has teamed up with Reese's Puffs to release a limited-edition cereal box worth a trip to your closest cereal aisle.
Reese's orange carton is revamped with AMBUSH co-branding and galactic graphics placing the crunchy corn puffs in outer space. "Ready to enter the next breakfast dimension?" the back of the box reads, referencing the second element of the collab: an interactive online experience dubbed the "Breakfastverse."
For those who prefer the physical world to the metaverse, AMBUSH and Reese's have also released the Chrome Puff, a limited-edition bag that doubles as a cereal bowl (silver spoon included).
General Mills, the manufacturer of Reese's Puffs (as well as Cheerio's, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs and more), has a long history of fashion and pop culture collaborations.
In 2017, the food giant tapped KITH to co-sign boxes of churro-flavored Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Serena Williams appeared on Wheaties boxes in 2019. The same year, Travis Scott teamed up with Reese's Puffs to launch custom-designed boxes, cereal bowls, and spoons. And we can't forget KAWS' Reese's Puffs, the breakfast of "Companions."
By now, it'd come as no surprise if Balenciaga made its mark on one of the corporation's cereals. The label already debuted Lays potato chip bags — how about a Trix clutch or a Cheerio's crossbody?
I'm getting ahead of myself. For now, keep your eyes trained on the cereal aisle of your local grocery store —AMBUSH's Reese's Puffs are available at stores now.
