Highsnobiety
and wander

Whether you've dipped into the Gorpcore trend to style out on the streets or make a statement up trails and peaks, and wander should be firmly on your radar. Armed with an arsenal of new and updated gear, the Japanese outdoors expert has put its best foot forward for SS23.

Japan is a goldmine of high-performance, functional gear with fine-tuned style. There's no arguing it; you need only embark on a digital scavenger hunt to discover boundary-pushing brands with an archive of multi-functional gear, some of which heralds from brands just as beloved in the west.

From exclusive top-tier Karrimor pieces to The North Face's Purple Label and beyond, every outdoors-focused wardrobe deserves a slice of the pie that Japanese brands and designers have been cooking up over the years – and wander is no exception.

While some of its most desirable pieces have made their way west byways of Browns, MR PORTER, END. Clothing and more, its online and physical retail stores remain the premium destination for its full product selection.

While the FW22's close is imminent, we're all looking forward to SS23; and wander included. Setting its sights on a thoughtful, continued evolution of its flagship product lines, as well as the introduction of new lines, SS23 sees the brand operate at its peak.

Looking through the season's lookbook you'll see the famed Pertex Rain Sheld jacket makes a return with updated palettes, joining lighter-weight outerwear such as the 3L UL Rain Jacket, Trek Jacket 3, and Pertex Wind Jacket.

While outerwear will always be the brand's biggest draw (so much so that I own the same jacket in two colorways), it's but the icing on the cake. SS23 sees an expansion on tees, shirt styles, pants, bags, and accessories, all with high-functioning details and extremely wearable seasonal palettes.

There's plenty to digest – you need only over to and wander and see for yourself. While you're at it, set your reminders; the full collection will land online in the coming weeks.
