What We’re Saying: Athletic Propulsion Labs may not be a household name when compared to brands such as adidas, Nike, and PUMA, but the sportswear company is one of the fastest-growing brands in the performance space.
Its latest sneaker, the Streamline, is an elite running shoe priced at a hefty $300. With that price tag, though, you can be sure that it’s packing a punch to match. The Streamline is built on APL’s FutureFoam midsole technology, which was designed to offer recovery-level comfort while producing an energy return fit for a distance runner.
The midsole is the crown jewel of the sneaker for more reasons than just its technological properties. The horizontal channels carved into the heel make the midsole look like a stack of pancakes, and who wouldn’t want to run on a stack of pancakes?
In line with the sneaker’s speed-focused design, the upper is made using a super breathable and lightweight material called APL AeroLux, and arrives in a number of tasty colorways. Check them out above.
The APL Streamline drops on July 13 for $300 at the above retailers.
