It’s not enough to just throw a pair of chunky kicks into the mix and call it a day. Blending a Frankensteinian array of silhouettes is the new move and, on that front, ASICS’ new GEL-KAYANO 5 360 sneakers have breathed new life into their repertoire — making waves since New York skatewear staple Awake NY teamed with ASICS to drop a collab earlier this year.

For the new spin on the sneakers, the Japanese brand pulled the upper silhouette from last year’s vintage-inspired GEL-KAYANO 5 (themselves a tribute to 25 variations of the KAYANO kicks) and slid the technical prowess of the GEL-QUANTUM 360’s innovative cushioned sole under it. The result? A perfect sneaker to stomp through the streets comfortably in while sidestepping any slow walkers who dare to get in your path.

Now that the two distinct colorways have made their way into the overstuffed closets of sneakerheads and casual ASICS fans alike, it’s time to clear out space for yet another colorway of the reimagined sneaker. Mixed with red, orange, and blue accenting, the shoe’s new cream and piedmont grey variation is an earth-toned twist on the formula they’ve been perfecting since the hybrid shoe dropped back in April.
