July's Best in Luxury Fashion Features Fire Mules & More
New in Luxury, Presented by MATCHESFASHION is a collaborative series in which we guide you through the latest arrivals in the world of luxury fashion, sneakers, and accessories. The London-based retailer is a go-to for its curation of the world’s biggest and best fashion labels, and you’ll find our joint-effort monthly selections in the hub here.
July has seen many of us emerge from our homes-turned-quarantine-bunkers, bleary-eyed and 100 kilos of banana bread heavier. The acclimatization to the outside world certainly hasn't been pretty. The whole having to get dressed part, especially. Slippers and bathrobes have been spotted in supermarkets, and those lockdown hair experiments look wildly different in the cold light of day.
To get you back on the ball, we've rounded up the very hottest releases in luxury fashion so far this month. There's pompom outerwear from Highsnobiety favorite BODE, technical summer sandals from Marni, some standout mules, and a whole lot more.
It can be hard to keep tabs on high-end arrivals, but our in-house curator Yulia Pankova and MATCHESFASHION are here to help. So, without further ado, we’ll let you get shopping July's best pieces.
Acne Studios Logo Jersey T-Shirt
Acne's neck logo jersey tees have served as a great entry-level piece to the brand for several seasons, and the Swedish label continues to drop new colorways of one of its most popular staples. This crisp white edition just hit shelves in time for summer getaways.
Yuketen Leather Mules
My personal favorite from this month's best in luxury fashion. These round-toe leather mules by Japanese label Yuketen are beautifully understated and totally of the moment. A must-have.
Tekla Pyjama Shorts
Omnipresent on the Instagram accounts of staying-home influencers, Tekla is the hottest loungewear label around right now. Did we mention Harry Styles is a fan?
BODE Embroidered Jacket
Remember when IRL runways were a thing? We do, and we remember the amazing BODE SS20 show well. In it, Emily explored her family's ties to the Bode Wagon Company in Ohio, which dressed wagons for circus shows. The result was a vivid amalgamation of rainbow prints, ribbons, patchwork, and pompoms. The latter is exactly what we get on this beautiful lightweight linen and canvas jacket.
Eckhaus Latta Poplin Trousers
1920s references are everywhere right now and it's easy to understand why. The wide-fitting garments, breezy materials, and pinstripes of the era are timeless summer companions. These cotton- and linen-blend pants by American label Eckhaus Latta are a fine example.
Miansai ID Tag
A simple silver bracelet, like this one from Miansai, never goes out of style. No matter what you're wearing, this will provide the finishing touch for summers and winters to come.
Marni Technical Sandals
The only downside to this season's best sandals is the amount of them on offer. It's an absolute nightmare to choose just one right now and Marni makes it even harder with this chunky-strapped, technical addition. Thanks a lot, Marni.
Saint Laurent Sunglasses
Sophisticated sunglasses, particularly when they come from the likes of Saint Laurent, can serve as an instant look fix for an otherwise lackluster look. Perfect eyewear for some island hopping.
Orelbar Brown Printed Swim Shorts
When wearing swim shorts, it's often the case that it's the only thing you're wearing. As such, you'll want your chosen pair to stand out. Swimwear specialist Orelbar Brown coats one of its many options in an art deco Miami scene here.
Marni Belt Bag
Another entry from Marni on this month's best in luxury fashion. The often off-kilter label is at it again with more functional goods, too. An ideal summer accessory.
