Cardi B wants a get involved in politics and she has Bernie Sanders support. Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the rapper revealed that while she doesn't technically agree with the idea of government, she feels like she has to take a stand. Now, the Vermont senator has given his seal of approval.

Talking to TMZ, Sanders said, "Cardi B is deeply concerned about what's happening in the country. She knows what it's like to live in poverty and struggle, and it would be great for her to bring that experience to politics."

The idea apparently came to Cardi after watching war documentaries, leading her to consider whether America is actually patriotic. "How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism?" she wrote. "I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American."

She continued, "I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense. I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table."

Cardi's comments come one week after she called President Trump's order to kill Iranian Major General Qassem Soleiman "dumb." Read her latest tweets below.
