CdG Made Salomon's XT-6 Sneaker Even More of a Big Deal
Ultra-chunky Salomons again ruled COMME des GARÇONS' Fall/Winter 2024 runway, advancing the brand's obsessions with blowing up the soles of Salomon's most beloved models.
Following towering Pulsars and seriously elevated slip-on sneakers from previous seasons, COMME des GARÇONS hooks its pump to the base of Salomon's XT-6 Expanse sneakers. The outcome? Two voluminous-soled Salomons in tonal black and white options (classic CdG).
Like with other collabs, COMME des GARÇONS maintains some traditional XT-6 touches like the breathable underlays and foot-hugging Sensifit panels (easy-going laces are still in place, too).
Simply, the Salomon XT-6's trail-ready lug soles have been raised and made extra thick by the Paris-based label. Ankles and hiking routes beware.
COMME des GARÇONS's Salomon XT-6 wasn't the only footwear clunking on the FW24 runway. The brand also sent melted derby shoes and barely finished Mary Janes down the catwalk, as part of collaborations with Phileo and Kids Love Gaite.
The Salomon XT-6 Expanse sneaker, well, expands the trendy XT-6 series with an upgraded design featuring more layers and meshy textures.
Salomon's excellent color palettes have naturally decorated the model, further emphasizing the innovative new look and upping its stylish factor. At the same time, vivid takes by Sandy Liang and size? have only fueled the XT-6 Expanse hype.
The Salomon XT-6 sneaker was already a sensation, reigning as the current Salomon 'it' sneaker. This year, COMME des GARÇONS plans to take the Salomon shoe to the next level — well, more like three.
