Converse's Military-Level Stomper Boot Is Built to Last
Converse is kind of cooking with its boot collection right now. After dropping its own wildly impressive cowboy "UGG" boots, the brand's Japanese imprint returns with a nice trekking boot backed with military-level ruggedness.
Yes, Converse has dropped chunky trekking boots before (and they were pretty cool efforts, I might add). But what makes the new Converse All Trekwave boot so special is its incredibly sturdy construction.
Converse's latest boot boasts a durable Cordura build, which wraps the shoe in a military-trusted, nylon-like fabric designed to resist wear and tear. These Converse boots are built to last, baby.
Cordura, along with GORE-TEX, has become an extremely popular material in the sneaker world, adding a more practical element to popular shoes like the adidas Spezial and New Balance 1906R. Plus, it just sounds and looks cooler.
But back to the Converse boots. The Trekwave shoes come in two solid colorways: black and coyote. The latter is basically an army green, highlighting the material's military-grade quality.
Chuck Taylors, you will also be famous. But Converse's boot game is quite literally on fire. The brand marries trendy boot designs with traditional All-Star codes, producing pieces like "Bottega Chuck Taylor" boots and, erm, Converse "Timbs."
And now? Make way for the new tough Converse Trekwave stompers.
Converse's Trekwave boots are due to drop this December. And seeing as it is, well, still December, the Cordura boots will probably march in very soon.
