Hender Scheme x Pendleton Is as Wonderfully Wooly as It Is Leathery
Hender Scheme and Pendleton have come together for a debut collaboration, marrying Eastern and Western aesthetics.
The Japanese leather label joined forces with the American wool company for the first time, resulting in a vibrantly fuzzy eight-piece capsule collection.
The Hender Scheme x Pendleton line starts strong with a classic derby model in two colorways. Named SKM, the shoe is crafted with pebble leather uppers and a patterned wool fabric panel over the toe box.
The black leather SKM shoe features grayscale wool, while the brown leather options get a burst of color with a brighter wool fabric.
The second pair of shoes from the Hender Scheme x Pendleton collection is a cozy pair of clogs covered in Pendleton's signature Northwestern pattern. The clogs come in the same grey and rainbow wool designs as the derby shoes.
The Hender Scheme and Pendleton collection also includes collaborative clothes, like varsity jackets available in two wooly versions.
For accessories, there are two handbag sizes constructed from the same wool fabric seen across the collection (the bags also have protective leather handles!).
Finally, the Hender Scheme x Pendelton collab rounds out with leather wallets finished with embossed Pendleton prints. Sweet.
The first of hopefully many Hender Scheme x Pendleton collabs to come officially dropped on October 26 and quickly sold out on the brand's site (shocker).
If you're lucky, you may be able to grab pieces from Hender Scheme's Japan storefronts. But act fast because a collection this good won't last long.
