Editor’s Notes: Collections don't come much more playful than Martine Rose's Fall 2019 collection, which celebrates sexuality, identity, and political alignment via garment cuts and embellishments. The London-based designer has steadily been carving out a reputation as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the British isles in recent times, and this collection will do her burgeoning reputation no harm.

Prints nod to the UK's Windrush generation of Caribbean immigrants, while traditionally male pieces are lent a feminine silhouette via high waists, extended zippers, and dropped crotches. Sexual innuendoes are embroidered on hoodies.

In addition to sprinkling winks throughout the collection — clock the wonky print on the "ULTIMATE OF QUALITY" tee — Rose delivers major throwback vibes with tons of embellished denim, bootleg cuts, knitted cardigans, ’80s-style sportswear, and oversized tailoring.

In other news, 3.Paradis explores the power of nostalgia with dope FW19 collection.
