Earlier this month, Burger King Sweden took shots at McDonald’s over its rival’s loss of the Big Mac trademark. Now, McDonald’s has taken shots of its own, although, in an unlikely twist, the Golden Arches has taken aim at fashion house Balenciaga.

In a photo posted on Instagram, McDonald’s Sweden appears to make fun of a Balenciaga shoe that dropped last fall. A pair of feet are seen inside McDonald’s French fry cartons, which are being used as makeshift slip-on shoes.

The shoe in question, Balenciaga’s square-toe leather mule, is said to look a lot like said fry cartons — or at least that’s what the fast food chain would seem to be claiming.

The Instagram caption above makes a call to action, asking for 103,042 likes to make the fry carton shoes a reality. Considering the photo was posted a week ago and only has some 14,000 likes, it seems unlikely the threshold will be reached.
