Self-care is the best care. There is very little room for arguing against that. It can manifest itself in various ways, like cooking yourself that pasta you've always wanted try (Pasta FOMO is a real thing), securing some vintage Hedi Silmane off of Grailed, copping your favorite pair of sneakers at retail, or simply taking time for yourself — far away from all the nonsense happening across the world. Yet, one of our favorite ways to show ourselves love is with an easy-to-follow, body-friendly grooming routine.

Now, I've been on both sides of the aisle. Nothing beats eating healthy, cutting down on the alcohol, getting good sleep, and staying active.

With that said, there are some solid products out there that will help you maximize that healthy glow, gems that should definitely be in your weekly self-care routine. Take a look at our curated goods below for some men's grooming tips.

Throughout the day, your face comes in contact with a lot of unwanted dirt, grime, and, unfortunately, pollution. You should be washing your face at least once a day. And, no handsoap does not count as a cleanser. 111 SKIN's face washes not only removes all that nasty stuff from your face, but it can help reduce any dullness in your face — a common symptom of those of us who like to stay up past midnight.

The Ordinary Exfoliating Peeling Solution

The OrdinaryExfoliating Peeling Solution
$8
Buy at SEPHORA

This is one of the best weapons in my arsenal, but be warned. This product is not a toy. Sure, you've probably come across a tik-tok creating their "blood face masks" with it. However, this is a peeling solution designed to exfoliate your skin deeply. Be sure to spot test before using it. And, once you add it to your men's grooming routine, I am sure you will be pleased. It knocks our blemishes and dramatically improves your skin's radiance. The deep red Tasmanian Pepperberry in the solution is used to help reduce the irritation associated with the strong AHA and BHA acids. That just sounds like a flex. "How is your skin so smooth?" "Tasmania Pepperberry, baby."

Everything from the packaging to the ingredients used highlights how much love Pharrell put into his debut skincare line, HUMANRACE. Though I can gladly recommend any of his vegan/fragrance-free products, The Humidifying Cream is a perfect way to keep your face moisturized throughout the day.

Aesop Moroccan Neroli Shaving Serum, 100ml

AesopMoroccan Neroli Shaving Serum, 100ml
$57
Buy at Mr Porter

I absolutely love Aesop's simplicity and ingredients transparency. If shaving is part of your weekly routine, the brand's Neroli Blossom serum is anti-inflammatory (great for razor bumps) and works well with all skin types.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Conditioning Beard Oil, 30ml

I don't like sharing all my secrets. However, the second most consistent compliment I get is how good my beard smells. Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille Eau De Parfum already had me smelling like hot chocolate during Christmas. So a beard oil with the same scent profile with no BS ingredients just makes sense.

EDEN BodyWorksCoconut Shea Cleansing CoWash 16 oz

Fun fact — If your hair leans towards the curly side of the spectrum, there are very few cases where you need to wash your beard every day. Overwashing with shampoos can strip your beard of those natural oils that give your hair its strength and glow. Co-washing — rinsing your hair with a conditioning solution — is an excellent in-between, allowing you to control any frizz and remove and build-up daily. EDEN's mixtures of coconut oil, shea butter, aloe, and avocado oil will help you protect your hair as you Co-wash it.

Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser, 500ml

Upgrade your body cleanser, and toss away that 6 in 1 concoction you have in your shower. When it comes to great-smelling body washes with a potent sell, Aesop should be your go-to. The Germanium Leaf just smells like Spring.

The argument is simple here. Avoid "standard" deodorants, which may be harmful to your health. Salt & Stone has created a deodorant made from natural ingredients and that is great for sensitive skin.

Take care of your hands. It's often the first place of contact when you meet someone. In a world where you are washing your hands constantly, be sure to keep them moisturized. This repairing balm does just that with the added bonus of being able to use it on your nails.

I can't stress this enough. No one,  likes long crusty nails. If you are more of a DIY person, invest in a nail kit, trim and clean those bad boys. Guys, trust me on this one. Your partner will thank you.

Speaking of nails, after the trim, put down a nice clear coat. It adds a nice shine to your nails and protects them throughout the day. The Dior branding is a nice little flex too.
