Miu Miu's Suede Booties Are Remarkably Reminiscent
Two new styles are joining Miu Miu's growing footwear offerings.
The Italian brand is pushing into the moccasins space, bringing its own style to the shoe. And honestly, it's giving Clarks a run for its money.
Clarks' Wallabee shoes have existed for over 50 years, with a solid customer base that has only become even stronger lately. As the industry moves into the post-sneaker world, moccasins like the Wallabee offer an everyday style for those in need of a shoe as laid back as their favorite adidas Samba or Nike AF1.
And now, Miu Miu is joining in on the fun.
The brand released two new bootie models, each covered in a soft suede material and grounded with a thick platform sole.
The Suede Delave Wedge Ankle Boot uses a creamy beige suede and is held together with yellow rope laces. A flat white sole rounds out the model. Next, the Faded Suede Booties are covered in a rich brown suede and are extra cozy with a shearling lining.
The Faded Suede Bootie's black lug sole lifts the shoe up, and a short heel completes the style, a departure from Miu Miu's standard flat shoes.
I mean, who could forget about the brand's beloved ballet shoes? Or, the flattened sole of the New Balance 530 sneakers from Miu Miu's collab? Just to name a few.
Anyway, back to the booties. Miu Miu's moc-esque shoes are available now, and will run you over $1,000 for either style.
So, compared to Clarks' $150 Wallabees, maybe they aren't so comparable after all. At least, for now.
