Mr Porter Just Launched a Masterclass in Nailing Italian Style
Twenty-five of the leading voices in traditional and contemporary Italian style have released a selection of exclusive capsules at Mr Porter today, dropped in celebration of the inimitable design, craftsmanship, and style of the country.
The hand-picked Italian Masters collection includes Altea, Aspesi, Caruso, De Petrillo, E.MARINELLA, Etro, Fabbrica Pelletterie Milano, Fornasetti, Francesco Maglia, Giuliva Heritage, Incotex, L.G.R, Lardini, Lorenzi Milano, Massimo Alba, Missoni, and many more. On the process of selecting the masters, Sam Kershaw, Mr Porter’s Buying Director noted, “We aimed to seek-out and nurture exclusive product stories with each of these outstanding brands, and especially wanted to shine a light on the smaller artisanal partners who are so important to sustaining specific skills and one-of-a-kind manufacturing techniques.”
You can shop the exclusive collections today, but with more than 259 unique products covering clothing, footwear, accessories, and homeware, it’s hard to know where to begin. To help out, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite pieces from the Italian Masters.

De Petrillo Striped Linen Shirt
De Petrillo, founded in 1987 by Benedetto De Petrillo, is built on the skills and secrets passed down through generations of the De Petrillo family. The outcome is a collection of clothing crafted to the highest standard. This breezy linen shirt is a fine example. Finished with a '70s-inspired spread collar and muted stripe detail, it's fit for a king.
Massimo Alba Tapered Cotton-Corduroy Trousers
Massimo Alba is an undisputed master of Italian style. This pair of fine-wale corduroy trousers exhibit the care and sophistication that every piece of clothing from the label exudes. Dyed in a rich brown, this pair has a distinctive retro feel.
Officine Creative Vine Leather Penny Loafers
There are some things that Italians do very, very well. Loafers are one of those things. Officine Creative takes on years of loafer perfection with this pair of wine-colored penny loafers cut from extremely high-quality leather.
Rubinacci Printed Silk-Twill Pocket Square
No Italian-inspired outfit is complete without a pocket square and this silk-twill number from Rubinacci has got our attention. Finished with illustrations from the first page of Codex Mendoza, an ancient collection of pictograms that tell the stories of ancient Aztec rulers.
Valextra Pebble-Grain Leather Cardholder
Valextra's Pebble-Grain Leather Cardholder is a shameless celebration of leather and we're completely here for it. Resplendent in green, the textured leather only needs a gold-tone logo to the corner to round it out.
Altea Camp-Collar Embroidered Linen Shirt
Altea picks a beautiful pale green color as the basis of this camp-collar linen shirt. Multi-colored embroidery lines the button placket to give the design a visual twist.
Valstar Suede Overshirt
Fitting squarely into the investment category, this plush, purple suede shirt from Valstar is the height of luxury. An immaculately clean facade makes this piece ideal for fall layering, too.
Giuliva Heritage Umberto Pleated Cotton-Twill Trousers
Wind the clock back some 70+ years with this pair of pleated trousers by Giuliva Heritage. A subtle beige color palette complements the careful tailoring and elegant silhouette of the trousers.
