With Nigel Sylvester's long-awaited Jordan 4 RM sneaker on the horizon, the BMX athlete unpacks the story behind the impressive design. As a result, Sylvester proves his "Bike Air" Jordans to be even more thoughtful than we previously considered them.

In a recent Instagram post, Sylvester shared the meaningful story behind his latest Jordan sneaker, a stunning green take on the skate-esque Jordan 4 remix.

However, the Jordan 4 RM is more bike-esque in Sylvester's case.

Sylvester and Jordan Brand's project is titled "Grandma's Driveway," which refers to where Sylvester first fell in love with the sport.

Can you guess when exactly Sylvester became infatuated with biking? Sylvester was just four years old when he discovered his fondness for riding bikes. And the rest is history, of course.

The moment Sylvester became passionate about bike riding is naturally echoed through his Jordan model selection, the Jordan 4. And by tweaking the RM to "Bike Air" perfection, the shoe is quite literally Sylvester's life in sneaker form.

Sylvester's Jordan 4 RM boasts tasteful suede textures bathed in a delicious forest green hue known as "Fence Green." It's the same color as the fence lining his grandmother's driveway.

Sylvester's shoebox naturally builds upon the excellent storytelling, featuring photos of driveway gravel and even a pic of a young Nigel as part of the packaging.

After hearing a breakdown of the shoe, my final verdict: Sylvester's Jordan 4 RM sneakers are even more of a must-cop.

After some early murmurs and even a detailed reveal in April, Sylvester confirmed that his Jordan 4 RM sneaker finally rides in on July 20. With July around the corner, expect more details to surface regarding where to purchase (or try to cop, at least).

The hype for Sylvester's collaboration is real. Our cover star not only made another excellent shoe, but he has also officially declared the Jordan 4 RM to be here.

Throughout the year, the divisive model has appeared in several general release colorways, hinting at a pretty generous debut run.

The lineup even has an "Oxidized Green" version similar to Sylvester's pairs. It's still unknown when the particular colorway will drop, but I suspect those who took L's on Sylvester's Jordan 4 RMs will be first in line for them.
