Camping out isn't as big as it was back in the golden days of copping sneakers. Some stores discourage the idea ahead of big releases. Nonetheless, there are still a few devoted sneakerheads keeping the art of camping out alive — and boy, does Nike have a new genius product for them.

Nike's ISPA line recently dropped off its Summer 2024 collection, including padded hoodies and practical trousers. The headliner of the offering, though, is undoubtedly Nike's Metamorph poncho, which more than lives up to its cool name.

The Nike ISPA poncho consists of lightweight nylon layers (also water-repellent) alongside functional zippers and adjustable straps for a genuinely versatile setup.

As you probably noticed, Nike's Metamorph poncho is also quite big, and it's for good reasons. The oversized clothing piece turns into a tent. Yes, you read that right.

If needed, Nike ISPA's poncho transforms into a sun-shading tent, with the collapsible tent poles and building manual included. When fully erect, neat geometric patterns decorate the interior's nylon "walls," while the outside boasts that familiar grey plus Nike ISPA branding.

Once transformed into a tent, the Nike ISPA Metamorph piece can also be easily broken down into a carryable bag. So, wait, that's a poncho, tent, and handbag all in one? Indeed, this is more than just technical outwear, but a multi-functional companion for outdoor adventures, all for the price of roughly $620.

For those ready to drop their refund check on Nike ISPA's Metamorph poncho, the accessory is now up for grabs at select retailers like END. and Livestock.

I've seen sneakers turn into wallets and even jackets into purses (and purses into ice cream...seriously). But a cape gone sunshade gone handbag? Nike's innovation strikes again.

This time, the sportswear giant made camping out for its beloved sneakers easier than ever.
