Nike's bringing a weird vibe to the ballet shoe function, and that's quite okay. Weird is good, especially when it results in high-tech ballerina shoes like the Shox Z Calistra.

Copenhagen brand Naked helped introduce the Calistra through a February 2026 collaboration, which also included a regular Shox Z. At the time, we assumed the model was made exclusively for the collab. However, recent events confirmed Nike has bigger plans for the ballet sneaker.

After Naked's spin, Chinese label Labelhood gave the Mary Jane-style sneaker a classic "Bred" makeover, and added shoelaces for the first time. Nike has now shifted gears to focus on the model's general-release lineup, kicking things off with a "Pale Ivory" colorway.

Beyond the fleshy new scheme, expect the shoe's signature techy balletcore design.

In case you missed it, the Calistra is essentially the Shox Z sneaker with a new look, name, and prima personality. The model features these futuristically sleek uppers, joined by Mary Jane straps and Nike's Shox columns underfoot. The Nike technology made early-2000s sneakers look like they were from the future. On the newbie Calistra, the ballet sneaker-heels look like they're from 2099.

The Shox Z Calistra "Pale Ivory" sneakers are scheduled to drop on Naked's website on May 7 for $151, alongside a "Black" colorway that feels like the Labelhood collab all over again.
