Netflix's new nature series, Our Planet, released last week to much acclaim. Narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, the program explores the world's most precious wonders, as the four-year project was filmed in 50 countries across all seven continents.

Netflix continues to share behind-the-scenes material from the filming of Our Planet, including the on-hand video showcasing the largest gathering of walruses in the world. Due to climate change, these walruses no longer have the luxury of resting on ice prior to diving into the water for food. Instead, they are forced to gather on small stretches of beaches and cliffs, leaving them with a much more strenuous journey to capture their next meal. This in turn leads to hundreds of walruses falling off of the cliffs to meet their death on the beach below.

You can view Netflix's eight-part Our Planet series on the streaming platform now.
