Editor’s Notes: Earlier this year, Parisian restaurant Paperboy was tapped by New Balance to reimagine the 992. The silhouette had a stellar 2020 thanks to enticing general release colorways and high-profile collaborations alike. The Paperboy collab was the first of several 2021 releases that carried the silhouette’s momentum into the new year.

Following an initial release that was limited to Paperboy’s Paris store in January, it seems a wider range of retailers will be getting the shoe (nearly six months later). END. has the sneaker loaded on its launches page, while Japan’s BEAMS will be stocking the collaboration, too.

The sneaker features a white, cream, and beige colorway with yellow accents. The inspiration is clearly one of the restaurant’s poultry dishes. The shoe is branded with Paperboy's logo on the heels and New Balance's signature "N" logo on the side. BEAMS is also dropping a full apparel collection that speaks to the project’s chicken and egg inspiration.

This 992 isn't Paperboy's first collaboration with New Balance. Early last year, Paperboy released an 801 inspired by its signature Tuna Tataki Sandwich.

Stay tuned for more information on where to buy the Paperboy x New Balance 992 when it drops again on June 19.
