Famed New York Steakhouse Peter Luger Is Delivering for the First Time in 133 Years
The historic Williamsburg steakhouse, Peter Luger, is offering delivery and a credit card payment option in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Like most restaurants in Brooklyn, the highly decorated eatery was forced to close its doors during the lockdown. And while it will be some time before locals and tourists will see inside Peter Luger's wood-paneled walls - it's offering a limited delivery menu to customers in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.
"In order to continue to serve the local community during the pandemic, we will be making limited menu and butcher shop items available for pickup and delivery from our Brooklyn location," the restaurant said on its site. "We will also be serving a limited selection from our wine list to customers over the age of 21."
Delivery and pick-up are available from 11:45 AM. to 8:45 PM daily with limited availability. Customers can order online or call the restaurant directly.
Pre-corona, Luger’s offered well-done souvenirs — including dad caps embroidered with a lone bull image and a double-sided graphic tee featuring different cuts of cow on the back — the real gem of its dusty merch cabinet is this cream-colored golf shirt.
