Artisans De Genève, the bespoke watch specialist based in Switzerland, has shared its second customization project carried out at the behest of Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo.

You may recall we spotlit Pirlo’s first watch, which was said to have taken some two years to complete, with the company last month. This time around, Artisans De Genève visited Pirlo in his home of Turin, and the results aren't any less spectacular. The latest effort sees an extreme transformation of the former midfield maestro’s Rolex 114060 Submariner, with the entire openwork dial drenched in a spectacular blue — the same color that the Italy national football team play in. Pirlo won 116 caps for the Azurri and famously lifted the World Cup in 2006.

The watch's indexes are made from steel while Pirlo insisted the forged carbon insert remain so as not to detract from the sporty look. The bezel boasts a unique number: a 21 index in rose gold that recalls the jersey number that the champion wore throughout his career.

"For my second personalization with Artisans de Genève, I chose to keep the watch’s technical skeleton but add colors that I loved: Azure blue and rose gold," said Pirlo. The timepiece will make a neat addition to the manager's collection, which already comprises various models by the likes of Patek Philippe, as well as Rolex. It's also not uncommon to see Pirlo with a Hublot on his wrist, as it is the official watch partner of Juventus.

Artisans de Genève asks us to reiterate that the watch was a custom request by Andrea Pirlo and that it is not affiliated nor authorized by Rolex SA.
