Hip-hop producers are finally starting to get the recognition they deserve beyond the booth of the recording studio. Quay Global is one of them. The Atlanta producer, just 20-years-old, is on a major come up thanks in part to his work on Lil Baby's Harder mixtape series.

His big break came in 2017, when he was working at a truck wash while interning at a local studio. On the same day he quit his day job, he had a chance encounter with Gucci Mane, which led to his first placement. Soon after, he linked up with Lil Baby and quickly became his go-to producer, cooking up the beat for his smash-hit "My Dawg."

Recently signed to Quality Control, his signature “Cook that shit up Quay” can be heard on tracks from the likes of City Girls, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, and Marlo. The FADER recently caught up with the producer, discussing his musical family history, his work ethic, his plans for his own rap project, and much more.
