Editor's Notes: Reebok's renewed focus on its 2010s ZigTech technology, beginning in 2020, kicked open the doors to a new era of design, one that would be led, in large, by the outdoor-inspired Zig Kinetica II.

The silhouette has served as a testament to Reebok's understanding of the needs of outdoor footwear – creating sneakers that are function-first while retaining an aesthetic that pairs nicely with your favorite Arc' or Tilak jacket.

With new additions to the franchised line-up at the tail-end of last year, including a GORE-TEX-equipt version of the already rugged sneaker, Reebok made it clear that the silhouette should be considered in the same breath as those from Salomon, adidas TERREX, Nike ACG, and the like.

Given the sharp rise in popularity the sneaker has experienced in such a short space of time, it's no surprise that Reebok has decided to go hard on delivering new colorways – through general release and collaborations (the latest arriving via size?).

Starting 2022 off strong, the brand has revealed two new colorways (GX0117, GX0511) for the Zig Kinetica II Edge which stay well in line with previous iterations unapologetically bold aesthetic.

For the season's unisex iteration, a mix of black, brown, and green has been paired with a chalky outsole, while the first women's-specific execution is a combination of tonal greys.
