S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA.

Sterling Ruby is back this month with the release of his fourth S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. collection, which includes knitwear. The capsule sees Ruby's fine art pieces being translated onto various garments, as his flags, tools, artifacts, cleaning supplies, and sculptures are applied to T-shirts, hoodies, and jeans.

Honeycomb knits are offered in 100 percent merino wool and hand-dyed in the United States, while more eye-catching versions combine merino wool with mohair for a fuzzy finish. The clothing in indigo, black, and sepia denim SOTO pieces — ranging from a poncho and barn coat, to overalls and pullover hoodies — have been subjected to multiple treatments of dyeing, washing, and rinsing to bleach and weather the fabrics. Additionally, Ruby implements grid patterns in multiple forms, with checkered pleats on a bib dress, plaid on a gathered dress and top, and open weave check on a long trench coat, oversized button-down shirt, and relaxed raver pant.

The coinciding campaign for the fourth S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. collection makes use of Ruby's fluorescent, hazard orange for a backdrop. The imagery features models donning styles from the assortment, in addition to photos of the brand's buttons and fabric labels.

You can find Sterling Ruby's new S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA. garments available now online and at select retailers.
