Double Tap to Zoom

Sergio Rossi are no strangers to creative and wonderful footwear silhouettes — particularly with their SI ROSSI by Sergio Rossi line.

For its new FW23 collection, SI ROSSI by Sergio Rossi is embracing femininity, confidence and free-spirited nature, with a little nostalgic twist. Think eclectic heels, bold designs and a touch of underground culture.

Sergio Rossi called on the Italian singer-songwriter/producer, Joan Thiele, to sport the iconic shoe. Framed by director, Tommaso Ottomano, the video editorial, 'Si Rossi Session' is set in a minimalistic space with the singer presenting instrumental pieces under a soundtrack, written and produced by Joan herself.

Joan’s first Italian EP, “Operazione Oro,” and “Atti” - a release divided into three chapters - merges the world of sound imagination and cinema. Earlier in May, she secured the David di Donatello prize for the track "Proiettili" as Best Original Song from the film "Ti mangio il cuore."

"I want to communicate who I am and what I am passionate about through everything I do. I fell in love with Piero Umiliani’s film scores, a master in my eyes. An Italian excellence that has greatly inspired me, especially because of the diversity of his immense body of work, which still makes it extremely relevant. It's also for this reason I decided to personally curate the soundtrack of this video editorial project. I chose to create something new and tailored, a fun and entertaining sonic backdrop, where I placed the electric guitar at the center, an instrument to which I am deeply connected."

In anticipation of her new album, she stars in SI ROSSI’s video with a fresh take on the fusion between music and fashion. SI ROSSI’s reconceptualized and reimagined collection takes on a cinematic approach and mixes musical styles and genres in honor of Thiele, marrying contemporary culture with signature Sergio Rossi staples.

Upgrading this season’s sweetheart, Mary Jane, by adding a spoonful of retro and some gladiator charisma, 'SI ROSSI' proves yet again that it is a refreshing take on Sergio Rossi’s classic blueprint. The collection uses a rich spectrum of materials spanning from nappa leather, suede, patent leather, and velvet. Over-the-knee silhouettes and pumps join the mix with fluid patterns and a bold color palette. Think fall hues like black, wine, beige, cream, and biscuit. Yet, there is one detail that holds all the attention - the eye-catching heel sported by Thiele herself — talk about main character energy.

“What matters to me, in music and  fashion, is to research and define your own imagery. Imagery is not influenced by a certain scene. It is born and nurtured by one's personality, passions, intentions and moods."
