Highsnobiety Staff Pick Their Favorite Pieces From Fila-Inspired "Fendi Mania" Collection
Fendi Mania has arrived and we can’t get enough of it. The Italian fashion house just launched its much-hyped “Fendi Mania” collection which reappropriates Instagram artist @hey_reilly’s now-viral mashup of Fila’s iconic logo with the Fendi trademark. The resulting capsule is the literal intersection of luxury meeting sportswear and features pieces for women, men, and kids alike.
From ready-to-wear pieces to shoes and accessories, we went around the Highsnobiety offices in New York and Berlin to get their opinions on which pieces were their favorite and why, as well as how they’d style ‘em.
Peep our staff favorites below and check out everything that went down at the NYC launch of Fendi Mania.

“Side bags are a trend, sure, but they also offer a certain convenience for city dwellers who tend to travel often. As someone who spends a ton of time in cities around the globe, they've become a go-to accessory for fashion weeks or quick trips. They're the ideal spot to hold a phone charger, passport (gotta get that VAT discount when I'm shopping in Europe!), and add a sporty touch to an outfit.
Fendi's FF motif is timeless, especially in the classic brown colorway. Seeing it done up with Hey Reilly's humorous take on the logo adds a high/low bootleg appeal that really summarizes the idea behind this capsule collection. I'd wear this fanny pack as an over-the-shoulder bag, either with an oversized hoodie or even a more proper patterned sport coat. It'd work either way as the right kind of statement piece that pays homage to Fendi's legacy while nodding towards its future.”

“This Mitski reference will likely go over your heads, but this year is all about finding a way to be the cowboy. I never thought I'd be saying this, but I'm enjoying the western wave that is sweeping over the fashion scene right now. Instead of fighting it, I think we should all embrace it while it lasts. I tend to hesitate when it comes to knee high boots, but Fendi offers a stunning pair for the ultimate showdown. I envision myself slipping on these bad boots with a pair of black biker shorts and a vintage sweater from my dad's closet layered with an oversized jacket.”

"For cozy season, good knitwear is a fundamental part of my Fall/Winter wardrobe rotation. This white Fendi sweater from the Fendi Mania capsule pays tribute to internet artist @hey_reily with his spin on the fendi/fila mash-up logo on the front, but what I really like are the red/black details at the waist, collar and the cuff. I would wear with black cargo pants, chunky sneakers and a black bomber.”

“I'm attracted to the retro color palette on this hoodie. That, coupled with the FENDI/FILA logo created by @hey_reilly, conjures up images of New York City in the late '70s and early '80s, at least for me. I'd layer this over a white turtleneck and pair with skinny black jeans and black cowboy boots.”

“There's nothing like a classic pump and the ankle strap adds a sexy detail. There's an elegance to the line of this shoe while the logo print adds a sporty vibe. You could easily dress a cocktail dress down or dress a jumpsuit up with these. As for me, I love elevating (both figuratively and literally) a casual outfit with a heel. I would totally rock these with jeans, track pants or denim cutoffs.”

"While this silk bandeau was made for women in mind, it can easily be worn by guys as a belt for a subtle flex that isn't too in-your-face. The best part? It comes double-sided with the Fendi Mania motif on one side and the infamous FF all-over print on the other so you can rock with the old or rep the new."
Noah Thomas
“I love the silhouette of this shoe. The slight platform elevates the shoe physically, but also in the shoes flexibility. This shoe could be dressed up and down, which I personally think is the most important feature with any item of clothing.”
Jan-Michael Quammie
“I love this piece as it gives me major ‘80s nostalgia. It seems classic, but with a modern day twist and that’s pretty much how I like to style myself. Plus, it seems super practical and functional for the cold winter months. Can’t wait to wear.”
