Six of Stüssy's Best Footwear Collabs & Where to Buy Them
Since 1980, Stüssy has forged a path that’s now regarded as a roadmap for cool. From the Stüssy Tribe, an international group of skaters, musicians, and creatives that set the tone for brand communities, through to the label’s collaborations, Stüssy has exerted an influence on street culture that’s sometimes taken for granted. Focusing on the extensive catalog of Stüssy footwear collaborations, we're highlighting the still-groundbreaking originality of one of streetwear’s finest names.
Stüssy footwear collaborations are a great source of inspiration for many of today’s most respected brands. Stüssy shows that, provided your identity is strong enough, you can collaborate with almost anyone — from Dr. Martens to Nike. The list of Stüssy collaborations is no quick read, though, so we’ve picked out six all-time highlights.

Nike
How could we kick off this roundup with anyone else but Nike? Nike x Stüssy collaborations have been going on for a long time, which may explain why the pair always knock it out of the park. Stüssy’s ability to rework classic Nike silhouettes knows no bounds, from the 2005 release of the Stüssy x Nike SB Dunk Low "Cherry" which has undeniable legend status through to the 2020 Stüssy x Nike Air Force One, a certain future classic that made a splash as one of last year's best releases.
New Balance
Stüssy’s footwear collaborations span all areas of the sneaker kingdom. Here, Stüssy’s west-coast charm met Boston-based New Balance back in 2017 to collaborate on a pair of New Balance 990v4s. With a pared-back cooler scheme, this collaboration asked the wearer to look more closely at the premium materials and craftsmanship.
Nicknamed the “Cream” edition, the Stüssy x New Balance 990v4 features a majority cream suede upper with highlighting white accents.
Dr. Martens
Stüssy’s ability to impart something valuable on almost any item put in from of them will never not amaze us, and it’s a key reason why Stüssy collaborations are so well respected. Dr. Martens is another name to have collaborated with Stüssy multiple times, and when the two joined forces in 2018 we got one of the better results in the form of the Penton Loafer.
This Made in England release combines faux croc leather with smooth leather for a textured take on the classic Dr. Martens Penton Loafer. It originally dropped in four colorways, but the muted green iteration ranks up top for us.
Clarks Originals
The legendary subcultural status of Stüssy means that the brand has its pick of the market. Collaborating with the biggest names in any given category is rarified air, so seeing that Stüssy has done it in most departments is no surprise… Another legendary gem in the Stüssy collaborations crown is Clarks Originals. A long, strong collaboration reached fever pitch in 2019 with a set of orange and green Wallabees characterized by a multicolor paisley trim.
Dior
Kim Jones has breathed new life into Dior with a contemporary outlook on what luxury can and will be in the coming years. One of his best moves has been aligning the Italian house with the leading names in streetwear and, of course, that means Stüssy. In collaboration with Shawn Stüssy himself, Dior reworked the B23 High Top Sneaker. Shawn left his mark in the form of Stüssy’s unmistakable logo font across the shoe’s upper.
Birkenstock
2020 was a very strong year for Stüssy collaborations — a promising sign that the brand isn’t slowing down on that front. One of the more leftfield collaborations of the year was Stüssy x Birkenstock. The capsule collection saw Birkenstock's Boston Clogs updated with a corduroy upper.
