Sucuk & Bratwurst Is Here To Stay With Its „COOL“ New Studio Space
Since its inception more than ten years ago, the rise of Sucuk & Bratwurst to the top of the visual art world is something to be admired.
Growing up as childhood friends, Alessandro Belliero, David Goenner, and brothers Lukas and Denis Olgac bonded over their love for visual media and the endless possibilities to manifest from their own imagination.
Now as members of the renowned Berlin-based art collective that has teamed with the likes of Alexander Wang and Moncler and helped create our exclusive 4/20-ified macarons, the innovative quartet is recognized among the trailblazers revolutionizing the way we engage with and think about 3D graphics.
Despite their enormous successes, the design collective has remained relatively small, creating some of its most famous works out of home office spaces and DIY studios. But, as the team looks to grow and further establish itself as a profound entity in the digital design and global art spaces, building out the official Sucux HQ is top priority.
Finding a home on Strausberger Platz in the heart of Berlin, the new Sucuk & Bratwurst studio will serve as the dedicated home base for the art collective, giving the core members a location to comfortably usher in the team's next era poised to maintain and build off its current momentum.
In a broader context, the vibrant creative space will also be used to foster the growth of artists and creatives from around the world. As the latest cultural hub, the new studio will host various rotating exhibitions, workshops, and social gatherings, offering a dynamic, immersive experience that mirrors the group's progressive ethos.
In honor of the monumental step, Sucuk & Bratwurst has designed and curated a special exhibition entitled „COOL“ to be displayed during the studio’s opening celebration. Drawing inspiration from the collective’s love for Italian ice café culture, the exclusive series will feature three distinct bronze ice cream-themed sculptures along with a capsule that includes scented candle renditions of the statues, clothing, graphics, and custom jewelry to match the artwork.
Translating a classic aesthetic through their own design language, the Sucux’s team invokes a delicious and playful sense of nostalgia, calling back to a time when we would all greedily indulge in the ubiquitous sweet treats synonymous with a hot summer’s day.
As a testament to Sucux’s growing relevancy in contemporary culture, the opening of the novel studio space, in conjunction with the debut of the „COOL“ sculpture series, marks a new chapter in the collective’s creative journey.
With the officially ribbon cutting on July 21 at 5 pm CET, Sucuk & Bratwurst invites friends and close collaborators to join them in christening their official home of operation, setting the precedent that the space is a welcoming forum for creative discussion, ideation, and inspiration.
