New ‘The King’s Man’ Trailer Takes Us Back to Where It All Started
20th Century Studios has shared a new trailer for director Matthew Vaughn's The King's Man. Based on the comic book, The Secret Service, by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, the film serves as the prequel to 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service and 2017's Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
The King's Man ultimately details the origin story of the first independent intelligence agency. "As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them," the official description reads.
One of the new characters notably introduced in the upcoming movie is Rasputin, played by Rhys Ifans. Also starring in the picture are Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.
The King's Man was originally scheduled to release in November of 2019, but was first postponed due to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox and then pushed back once again. Now, you can look forward to the action-comedy arriving in theaters September 18.
