The largest exhibition of works by legendary fashion photographer Tim Walker is coming to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London later this year.

“Wonderful Things” is described as an immersive journey into the fantastical worlds of the British photographer. Walker, author of the 2018 Pirelli Calendar, has been working with the museum for three years, saying that "To me, the V&A has always been a palace of dreams – it’s the most inspiring place in the world."

Walker spent years in the museum's 145 public galleries, speaking to the curators, conservators and technicians. He said that “each new shoot is a love letter to an object from the V&A collection, and an attempt to capture my encounter with the sublime."

Visitors will get the chance to see 10 pieces of brand new photographic projects, which draw inspiration from the V&A's world-famous collection. The exhibition will also showcase 300 items from his incredible career.

The homage to Walker's "fantastic imagination" and "extraordinary" 25-year career is set to run from September 21 2019 to March 8 2020.
