Double Tap to Zoom

A few months have passed since Tinashe dropped her long-awaited (and over delayed) sophomore album Joyride. Never one to keep her loyal fans stuck in a dry spell, the singer-songwriter is bouncing back with a fresh single called "Like I Used To." As you might have guessed, the bedroom R&B jam is a breakup ballad and it certainly adds some fuel to the fire that has been burning in the tabloids regarding her ex-boyfriend, NBA player Ben Simmons.

On the track, Tinashe completely shuts out a former flame for breaking her trust and shamelessly flaunts her newfound independence in his face. One major highlight is how she slickly drops in some basketball lingo like "I gotta pass on you" and "this shit too easy like a free throw" which could be interpreted as not-so-subtle references to her ex.

Tinashe is not bothered by the situation at hand, she's better off and doing just fine! No summertime sadness to see here, the only way to move is on. We wish her a speedy recovery from heartbreak and fingers crossed that the whole experience leads to more music releases soon—there's always a positive to gain. Bump the track in full below.
