Travis Scott Tops Billboard Hot 100 for the First Time With "Sicko Mode"
Travis Scott hooping like James Harden in the fourth quarter of 2018 warrants Drake's "Sicko Mode" lyric, “when I shoot my shot, that shit wetty like I’m Sheck!" The Houston rapper has been knocking down huge shots in the final months of the year including Astroworld achieving the number one album in the country for a third time, hosting an insane music festival, debuting another fire collaboration with Jordan, and now "Sicko Mode" hits number one on Billboard Hot 100.
This is a major music milestone for Scott as this is the the first time the rapper has topped the Hot 100 charts. It follows the single peaking at number two earlier this year upon the release of the single's video. Luckily, it comes at a perfect time as Travis releases the new Nabil-directed video for the other Astroworld single, "Yosemite".
Additionally, with Astroworld being the number one album again this week, remaining on the Billboard Top 200 chart for seventeen weeks in a row, and earning the second highest debut of the year for Sony Music with 349.43 million streams worldwide, Travis is proving he's clutch in the fourth quarter.
