Vans / Former

Vans joins forces with pro surfer Dane Reynolds and his LA-based lifestyle brand Former to release their first-ever footwear and apparel collaboration. The project also serves as Former's debut sneaker collab. Created alongside the Former design team, the collection consists of three limited edition footwear styles, an EverRide Stretch boardshort, and a zippered short-sleeve woven shirt.

Key Vans models in the Sk8-Hi 138 FT, Style 36 FT Zip, and La Costa Lite X Slide are done up in premium materials including bone suede and rich black leather, while UltraCush sockliners enhance cushioning and comfort, and a textured rubber toe cap increases protection and durability. Former adds a custom zippered closure to the Style 36 FT Zip, as the La Costa Lite X Slide boasts overlapping leather straps, a leather footbed with embossed co-branding, and a durable UltraCush waffle outsole.

For the apparel from the range, Vans and Former present the EverRide Stretch boardshort with Former's signature zip detail on the side cargo pocket, as well as the short-sleeve zip woven shirt, which is crafted from a luxe compact brushed twill. The clothing, as with the footwear, also bears Former artwork and signature Vans motifs.

You can look forward to Vans and Former's collaborative collection releasing at select Vans Surf retailers worldwide on June 22.
