Etnia Barcelona has just opened an impressive new flagship store in its hometown.

From the ground up, the space includes seven floors, culminating with a quaint rooftop terrace with views of the Basilica of Santa María del Mar. Etnia Barcelona calls the flagship "A temple to the brand," with each level devoted to a different aspect of the brand's philosophy. The bottom two floors are dedicated to retail, and showcase the label's mainline offerings, as well as ongoing collaborative lines with the likes of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, painter Yves Klein, and photo-journalist Steve McCurry.

Moving upwards by elevator or by stair, the space includes showrooms, workshops, and office space for Etnia Barcelona staff. The charming interior design was led by Lázaro Rosa Violán Studio, taking inspiration and references from the 1940s, and manifesting through vintage theatre lights and handmade workbenches.

Shoppers can also find art and photography books, calling back to the close relationship Etnia Barcelona maintains with the world of the arts.
