Editor’s Notes: Samuel Ross and A-COLD-WALL* are prepping a followup to last month's Converse collaboration. Here, we get an official look at a new colorway of the Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged, which is a boot variation of the iconic Chuck Taylor.

This time around, the rugged Chucks are offered in a stealthy all-black look. The boots are predominantly crafted from nylon, making them significantly more durable than your average pair of Chuck Taylors.

Ross previously told Highsnobiety that his Converse collab is inspired by hikes in the Caribbean.

“So, the experience of my childhood affected this idea of changing the All-Star into something that is more hard-wearing,” he said.

“For me this collaboration again was about extending the life cycle of a product and that in turn supports this idea of less consumption,” Ross added. “So again, it comes down to this idea of really, really well-considered product."

The all-black A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Chuck Taylor Lugged was first be available through ACW*'s website on Monday, October 5 2020, followed by a wider launch at Converse.com and select retailers on October 8.

However, it just received a surprise restock on Converse's website on December 1, 2021, seemingly out of nowhere. If you wanted another chance at the hardwearing sneakerboot, move quick.
