Editor’s Notes: For its SS19 collection, called "Avam Cemani," Munich-based A Kind of Guise took inspiration from Indonesia's pattern and textile traditions. Breezy batik silk shirts, lightweight cotton garments, and super-fine merino wool trousers all lend themselves to a summer roadtrip to the beach.

The collection includes rugged, multi-pocket shirts, shirts embroidered with Indonesian motifs, lightweight thermo chromatic jackets that change color in different temperatures, water-repellant parkers developed in collaboration with a traditional Korean mill, and relaxed trousers.

"Avam Cemani" continues the brand's tradition of respectful, destination-centric collections; the FW18 collection was inspired by the Himalayas, and the SS18 collection saw the brand head to Las Vegas.
