Editor’s Notes: The latest addition to the adidas A-ZX program takes the form of a thirst-quenching ZX 7000 created in collaboration with Chinese brand HEYTEA.

HEYTEA began in 2012 as a small tea shop in Guangdong and now owns hundreds of outlets across Asia. With the goal of breathing new life into traditional culture, it created Cheezo Tea, a creamy tea-based drink that combines a type of salted cheese from New Zealand with fresh tea. Sounds strange but its mass popularity across Asia proves it’s onto something.

For the collaboration, HEYTEA reworked the ZX 7000 in pink, purple, and white – the colors of its signature “Grape Cheezo” drink. Accentuating the beverage-inspired theme, the sneaker features a shimmery, pleated upper with translucent TPU overlays and HEYTEA’s logo on the translucent TPU tongue label.

This release is part of adidas’ A-ZX program, a series of 26 ZX sneakers dropping throughout 2020-21. To see what’s dropped so far and what’s coming next, head here.
